Fanny Chadwick's, Toronto

Mixed green salad with red leaf lettuce, sprouts, cilantro, radish and pomegranate.

Caesar salad with cotija, crispy shallots, fried anchovies and bacon chicharron.

Fourteen hour smoked brisket, marinated Guatemalan style with soy glaze and salsa verde. Tasty but did not have enough smokey flavour.

Collard greens and mushrooms with ja-jan sauce, bamboo, soy sauce and hoisin sauce.

On the left, bbq beef ribs, braised overnight, garnished with mole sauce and soy glaze. I could not taste any smoke with the ribs, so that was disappointing. On the right, exceptional fried chicken. I asked for dark meat. The batter was perfectly crispy and ungreasy and the chicken was perfectly cooked. I ordered 3 pieces and could have ordered and eaten 10!! Certainly one of the very best fried chicken eating experiences in the GTA!!

"Well done" fries, very crispy and tasty, served with very good house made ketchup.

Banana cake with cream cheese icing. The cake was tasty but a bit dry.
